The room and welcome is always warm and friendly, the refreshments are free, and there's always toys, activities and crafts for the kids (pre-school age). There's lots to chat about, and we finish the time together with a short time of prayer for the people and work of the church. Kids Club (primary school age) runs every Friday evening 6-7.30pm and Xplorers (secondary school age) runs once a month (1st Friday) from 7.30-9pm. Both groups enjoy a different event each week, from games & quiz nights, to movies, sports tournaments, themed nights, game shows, outings and much more. It's always fun and exciting and always finishes with refreshments and a short talk from the Bible. Men don't naturally get together in the same way, and this is a great opportunity to fix that! Held once a month (on a Saturday) in the church hall, the men meet for food, a social time or a movie. For us at NEC it's a precious time to come together around God's word and have time to pray for His church and the work in this town. The meeting runs every 2 weeks on a Thursday from 7.30pm for an hour or so. With about 4 groups (of various sizes) there's a place for anyone who wants to get to know the church fellowship more and meet around God's word, pray and enjoy some tea and cake. Our Home groups normally follow a theme or book of the Bible in a manner that any person can follow.
